Aurora Terms of Use

Important notice

These Terms have not been reviewed by an attorney and are not legal advice. They explain how the Aurora apps published by GOSYNRGY LLC work in plain language.

These Terms apply to Aurora on Apple platforms and Android (including Aurora for Android TV). They do not cover the separate Aurora Media Center desktop product or website at https://auroramediacenter.com.

Agreement

These Terms apply to the Aurora apps published by GOSYNRGY LLC (GoSynrgy). A current copy is published at https://apps.gosynrgy.com/aurora/terms. If in-app text and this page differ, this page controls for later updates, and the build you installed includes the terms shown in that build.

License

Aurora is licensed to you, not sold. Subject to these Terms and the applicable store terms (Apple App Store or Google Play), we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Aurora on devices you own or control.

What Aurora is

Aurora is a media organizer. It does not include a built-in streaming service or preinstalled catalogs or streams. You choose which add-on URLs and optional metadata or tracking credentials to configure. Fresh installs start with no content sources.

Your sources

You are responsible for the add-ons, APIs, and stream URLs you connect. Use only sources and content you have the right to access. Third-party add-on, TMDB, and tracking-service terms apply to those services. We do not operate your add-on servers and do not receive your catalog, stream, or watch data on our systems.

Playback

In-app playback uses HTTP(S) or HLS URLs from sources you configure. Magnet and some external links open in other apps you choose; those apps' terms and privacy policies apply. Playback is optional and not required to browse catalogs or details.

Profiles and data

Profiles, preferences, watch progress, and related data stay on this device unless you clear them or delete the app. Optional profile PINs are stored as salted hashes on device. See the Privacy Policy at https://apps.gosynrgy.com/aurora/privacy for details.

Open source

Aurora includes third-party software such as MPVKit, Media3/ExoPlayer, or libmpv depending on platform. License notices and links are in Settings → About.

Disclaimer

Aurora is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the extent allowed by law. We are not responsible for third-party sources, streams, or external players, or for content you choose to access through them.

Changes

We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date above changes when this page changes. Material updates may also appear in the App. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms for that version.
